Recordings
Over 60 RVW Society members have contributed funds to enable two CDs to be made of the rare songs of Vaughan Williams. The first CD will concentrate on Songs from the Operas, including ten songs from Hugh the Drover. The second CD will focus on the early songs.

Sessions for the two CDs have been fixed for late March 2007 and early May 2007. Albion records is aiming to release these two CDs in time for the celebrations in 2008.

Beyond that, Albion Records plans to record three further CDs of music by Vaughan Williams, including many world premiere recordings, and these will be available in late 2008.

2007 AGM
The Denbies Suite (Denbies Wine Estate) has been reserved for the 2007 AGM, 14 October 2007. Juliette Pochin had agreed to sing VW songs, accompanied by Anne Bolt.

Songs of Travel
John Treadway reports that the Songs of Travel will be performed as part of the Halesworth Festival on 20 October 2007.

Three Choirs
Three Choirs Festival includes Serenade to Music on 6th August, The Lark Ascending on the 9th August and VW Songs on the 11th August, 2007.

Films
There are currently two films being made about Vaughan Williams, one by Tony Palmer for Channel 5 and the other by John Bridcut for the BBC.  These are exciting opportunities and it is hoped that the Society will be actively involved in each film.
