The Sky Shall be Our Roof

The Society is proud to announce that the first CD from Albion Records, a RVW Society subsidiary dedicated to the recording of English music, has now been officially released. Entitled The Sky Shall be Our Roof the CD features 19 rare songs from the operas. Stephen Connock, Chairman of the Ralph Vaughan Williams Society writes:
"If these rare songs from the operas of Vaughan Williams cannot replace the fullness of the operas themselves, they remind us of the melodic strengths of these works whilst providing alternative musical settings. Hopefully they will send us, with new love and admiration, back to the originals."
