Welcome to an international community of more than 1,000 people celebrating the music and life of Ralph Vaughan Williams.

We are a charity dedicated to widening the knowledge, understanding and appreciation of one of England’s greatest composers. The Society was formed in 1994, when there were many gaps in the recorded repertoire, many of which have since been filled, not least by our own recording company – Albion Records. The early Presidents of the Society were Ursula Vaughan Williams, the composer’s widow, and then Michael Kennedy, the composer’s close friend and musical biographer.
